stems from two Latin words "acus" meaning needle and "punctura"

Question: Why
is acupuncture important in the practice of medicine?
Answer: Because it works. Understanding why and
how the dynamic healing forces of the body are harnessed with
acupuncture is a milestone in our scientific quest for knowledge which
recognizes Bioplasmic Energy as the principle of life, as well
as the primal force that impels the physiologic processes in the body.
Disorder, pain and disease are consequences of disruptions in the
harmonious interaction of Bioplasmic Energy circulating in the
meridians. Acquiring more clinical skills isn't only important
professionally. It puts the doctor a step ahead in these competitive
times. Now major insurance carriers recognize acupuncture as a medical
treatment.

Question: What
is MRA®?
Answer: MRA® is the acronym for
Meridian Regulatory Acupuncture. It is a highly efficient System of
Therapy that is based on scientific theory and employs a
microsensitive, multifunction, precision instrument in the treatment
of meridian disturbances. MRA® elevates the ancient art of
acupuncture to its present level of refined, simplified application.
The study and use of MRA® help account for the steady
increase in the number of doctors who are presently integrating
acupuncture into their own medical practice.

Question: What
are Meridians?
Answer: Meridians are invisible channels of the
impulse for life or Bioplasmic Energy. Named after the organs
whose functions they regulate, meridians mediate the processes of
health and disease. Acupuncture points are distributed along the
meridian pathways all over the body.

Answer: It is a specialized branch of
acupuncture which defines the ear as a primary center of the body's
bioelectrical communications network. Theorists of Auricular Therapy
submit that every part of the body is represented in the ear.
Diagnosis and treatment are conducted by addressing the ear points
that correspond to the affected part.
