An original thinker, Dr. Carlota posited his novel postulate during the International Acupuncture Society Convention held in Taipei, Taiwan, Republic of China in 1976. The formulation of a scientific working model marked a paradigm shift from the empirical tenets that had subserved the foundations of acupuncture over the last 5000 years.
Dr. Carlota is well regarded in his field that in 1983 he was invited to speak on the scientific underpinnings of acupuncture across mainland China.
